Tim Russert’s “Meet The Press” Replacement Finally Named

December 2, 2008

David Gregory, NBC’s chief White House correspondent, reportedly will succeed Tim Russert as moderator of the venerable Sunday morning show ‘Meet the Press.’

NBC News will name chief White House correspondent David Gregory to succeed the late Tim Russert as host of ‘Meet the Press,’ Politico.com reported Tuesday.

The Sunday morning staple has been without a permanent host since the iconic Russert, 58, collapsed and died June 13. Tom Brokaw has been filling in on a temporary basis.
