Thaksin Says Thailand Should Cut Interest Rates, Boost Spending

March 11 (Bloomberg) — Thaksin Shinawatra, ousted as premier and banned from politics, said Thailand’s newly elected government must repair economic damage to the country caused by the military coup that unseated him in 2006.

“We have to bring back confidence to Thailand after the coup,” Thaksin said in an interview with Bloomberg News. “It’s quite difficult, but the government has to try harder.”
