Boy, oh boy, did Lashkar/Al Qaida ever get what they wanted – Paks talking about moving troops eastward is a dream come true for taliban and Al Qaida fighters in the western part of the country.

Here’s how we end up giving them EXACTLY what they don’t want. We impose an agreement upon Pakistan that if the Pak troops vacate the tribal areas, we have free reign to go in and “handle” the area. then India and Pakistan settle their differences and we hand over a cleansed area to the Paks when they move troops back west.

Pakistan and India fight it out to the death, and we have a free field to run in when the Paks are either dead or exhausted.

Scale, sophistication and targets involved in the Mumbai attacks all points toward ISI of Pakistan.
But what is interesting is the double speak of americans leaders.They would say in New Delhi what suits New Delhi and in Islamabad they will praise Pakistan.
I think it should be very clear to Indians that USA/West will not fight for them
they(Indians) themselves will have to find solutions.
A better option would be Shanghai Cooperation Organization rather than cozy up to West.

As usual the ultra sensitive and easily offended left wants to castrate one of their own. If they really cared about the gaffe they’d ask for Biden to resign from his “Office of the VP-Elect” as a unilateral action to prevent future, racist/sexist comments by Plugs.

Who cares? Rendell is right, she has no life outside of government. So she might as well work 24/7 doing whatever she’s being asked to do. Another bruhaha over nothing of consequence.

This is great information but not surprising. The entire World exhaled when O’Bama was declared the next POTUS.

After 8 years of trying become the Napoleon of the World, we will now take a different tact. A strategy of actually working WITH other countries, instead of over them, through them, and doing end-runs when necessary.

What a crazy world!

I know that there are people in the intelligence community that are looking out for their ‘own’, whoever their own maybe. I also do not doubt the ability of ‘terrorists’ to carry out their disgusting acts of death and destruction… However, I am still very skeptical of ‘intelligence’ precisely because they do take ‘decisive action’ (sorry I keep using quotes).

Though, I don’t think anyone, even the people within these anti-democratic secret circles, really know what actions and information are real, accurate or the deciding factor in our extremely complex global society.

It will probably take a long time for anyone to really make sense of these attacks and find out who was really behind them, what the motives were and who benefited. For example, it maybe in US strategic interest to have Pakistan squaring off against India (with the ever present, but hopefully unlikely prospect of nuclear conflict) while they continue to invade the Northwest Territories of P-stan in search of that elusive figure bin Laden (trained by and or created by the CIA). As a ‘westerner’, and someone that is becoming increasingly aware of the outrageous levels of propaganda and thought control used by governments to benefit the chosen few, I am very critical of anything that comes out in the news.

Just read into the events of Sept 11th a bit more (if you haven’t already)… Question, question, question. Demand peace and accountability– promote it yourself– look for the numerous examples of people trying to heal the world as opposed to destroy it for fleeting pleasures. Peace or pieces, its up to us.

remember the last time a major country (that rhymes with “the united states”) suffered a terrorist attack & went after the supposed host country?

The home minister of the country resigns home minister for state resigns chief minister resigns by that logic the Prime minister should resign.
Also the NSG which walked in the following morning were late and come under the direct control of the PM’s office so he should resign.
All this happens and Ministers who have a moral responsibility have to resign. But the Mumbai police commissioner who has direct responsibility of the matter stays put and no one has even asked for his resignation
And Lalu he’s the railway minister right? Well there was a massacre at CST. He didn’t provide adequate security for its commuters how come he hasn’t resigned?
If we are getting rid of honest politicians like Mr RR Patil and Mr. Shivraj Patil
who take responsibility for their actions. Then let the spineless ones follow in

• 12-year old Laxmi* was lured by her classmates to travel to Kolkata (capital of West Bengal, a state in India) for a picnic and later sold in the train.

• 10-year old Sneha* accompanied her 16 year-old sister Surya* to the dream city Mumbai in search of a job. Surya works as a domestic help while Sneha is hired for zari / embroidery work.

• Ramesh*, a 15-year old rag-picker is missing. His neighbours say they saw him being chatting with a drug-addict.

Young children go missing from the small towns and villages in India. Some run-away on being lured by the dreams of the big city, while others are carried away to be sold for meager gains…

The birth of a child (read male) in India meant celebration. Sweets are distributed and the atmosphere is one of merriment.Neighbours and relatives greet the parents and the new born baby is showered with blessings and gifts. Children are considered as God’s gift to the family. While this is true and relevant in many parts of India and the world at large, a stark reality hits us when we read the newspapers and are informed about the alarming rate at which children go missing from their homes and the increasing number of child labourers found in every sector of employment.

A child is one of the worst marginalized sections in the societal spectrum. Children are found in most realms of institutions, and more so in places they are not supposed to be. Child soldiers, child sex workers, child labourers, bonded labourers, child brides, rag pickers, beggars, manual scavengers, domestic workers, camel jockeys in dangerous races etc.
