Dear Sir,
I hope you and your team at the Peace and Freedom will be alright. Some interesting events have been taking place in Pakistan.
A private TV channel of Pakistan in the evening telecast a breaking news that dreaded Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud offered talks to the government of Pakistan.
Actually Baitullah Mehsud got importance after the murder of PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto.
I think a group within the army that always extended support to terrorists realised that they have been facing defeat and this is the reason that now they have been offering talks to the government.
This is my firm belief accepting the offer for talks from the militants means giving them more time to organise themselves.
According to majority of tribesmen, now the war on terrorism should come to a logical conclusion.
Those who are involved in terrorism should be dealt with severely. President Musharraf must be told in clear term dealing with terrorists should not be made. Though there are some Taliban militants with the goverment can hold talks, but Baitullah Mehsud is involved in the murder of Benazir Bhutto so he must be dealt with as criminal.
Situation in some parts of tribal areas is still fluid as the terrorists have still been trying to assert themselves. Your role is very important. I want to tell you that now the situation has changed as terrorists are on the run.
You and your Peace and Freedom fellows have been enjoying the support of tribal people as you did a lot for them. They have been waiting for your visit to tribal areas.
